There are many reasons why you may want to develop your spiritual abilities and understanding.
It may be because you have a thirst for knowledge and want to find out more about spiritual aspects of life; you may be intuitive or aware of spirit or energies and want to develop and control those skills; you may simply be interested in the spiritual side of things and want to meet with like minded people to share.
We run a weekly spiritual development group (called a circle)where we work together to share our interests and develop our spiritual senses.
Spiritual development is more than just wanting to develop to become a spiritual medium. It is about developing our abilities to receive spirit communication and link with spirit; increasing our understanding and knowledge of spirit and the spiritual world around us; it is about learning and discovering ourselves and help to progress on our life path.
Awareness of the spirit world I believe is natural, we are all spirit travelling on this earth in a physical body. Children have a natural connection and are closer to spirit; as we grow and become more 'physical' and most of us lose this strong connection and lose those abilities. It is possible to re discover and develop the ability to connect with spirit and be aware of the spiritual world. Alongside devloping the ability to connect and communicate with spirit and higher planes, it is important to learn more about spiritual aspects so we have a greater understanding and knowledge about what we are communicating with.
In circle we cover many aspects and do many things: we always open the evening with a prayer (we are open minded and not religious, a prayer is a few words to open the circle and set the scene asking for help and support from spirit and the higher realms); we have a meditation or relaxation; we close with a prayer, also making sure that we are closed and safe. In between, every evening is different: working to develop spiritual links and giving messages; spiritual guides; working with auras, chakras; spiritual healing; practising different ways of linking (psychometry, remote viewing, colours and crystals......and many others); discussions; questions and answers.
It is a small, friendly circle and quite informal; we laugh, cry and chat. Each person is different and gains something different and each person has their own reasons for coming.
